So Tarball is still grieving Genzi, in his own kitty way. Still mostly via clinginess. I did some reading on cat grief and yeah, this is a fairly normal way cats can react to a loss. 1. I was gonna kill Genzi this week. He had stopped eating, the steroids didn't seem to do anything, it seemed like it was time. Until, that is, he suddenly started eating again. Our guess is that it's actually the fluids. We're upping them to every day now. He's certainly not eating well, and it probably counts as a starvation diet, but he IS ( Read more... )

Tuesday I finally got rid of the exercise bike, which was one hell of an adventure and involved her stopping by the house three times before finally taking it away. it was snowing and icy at the time, but I got to use those traction thingies I got for xmas and wow they were fantastic. Genzi isn't doing so good. He's eating less and less. I'm planning on getting his teeth looked at in case he has mouth pain, but I'm sure some of it is just him feeling unwell, and some of it seems to be an onset of senility. Yesterday was the planning meeting for the Yule ritual. I'm still exhausted today. However, it went super well and everyone seems to be really excited about it.
