more bits and pieces
We finally got Duck eating her dinner again! Putting kibble in my bedroom for her got us partway there, and feeding her on the floor next to Tarball seems to have gotten us the rest of the way there. Which... surprises me a little. I guess she's more social than she likes to let on. I'm glad she's eating her gooshy again.

We're continuing the whole "moving in" process, which apparently takes forever. I found a horse barn I need to call sometime and ask about lessons. I found a vet I'll call... I don't know, someday. We're figuring out how to manage the peeling paint on the ceilings. It's down to IR paint remover (costly up front, but will help a lot with saving labor), or putting up tiles of some sort. Probably not faux tin, turns out, as that stuff needs to be glued on, and gluing onto peeling paint is a non-starter. We found fake wood slats that actually look not bad, though definitely less elegant than the tin tiles. No decisions have been made yet, but scraping paint is a PAIN.

The books I've been reading got me curious about mulled wine, so Nee and I decided to try making some. That stuff is actually pretty good! I don't care for wine, but I still find I rather like it. I think we should try mulled cider next.
