Winter Holiday is coming up and I... honestly just don't feel it. Not in an angsty "oh woe, where is my christmas spirit" way, just a... not there way. This time of year tends to be really overwhelming and stressful for me. House buying, as it turns out, is also overwhelming and stressful. Some part of me seems to have decided that I can do one or

Yeah, fixing the gas leak is definitely good. Though I'm also just really glad that the seller is finally getting off their asses and moving. I was starting to worry that they were just going to do nothing and it would fall through because of that.
The house is actually no longer on the real estate website. Not listed for sale anymore. I do have my own photos now, though. ^_^ I should look at them again.
As for the cats... I imagine Duck and Tarball (especially Tarball) will really enjoy all that space. Tarball might have a hard time adjusting just due to the fact that he has lived in one place for the vast majority of his life - moving around is not a thing he's had to deal with since being a kitten. But he's also resilient, so he'll be ok. Rye, though, isn't even fully utilizing the space we have now. She's only just starting to get more comfortable in all of the living room, rather than just the space next to the futon. Moving is going to be traumatic for her. Still, I think ultimately she'll be ok so long as she has hiding places. I doubt she'll have much appreciation for the house itself, though.

Procrastinating sellers kinda blow my mind...up here buyers would be chasing them for the chance to buy.
Not being on the real estate website is a very good sign. :)
Sounds like you've got a handle on the cats. Would I be wrong in thinking they will stay close to you guys at first for reassurance?

The house is bank owned, and while banks, as entities, do not want to have empty houses, it does mean there is no person on the other end, personally motivated to sell. That said, apparently that particular bank also has a reputation for being less than responsive and kinda frustrating to work with. They mostly stick around because they also have a thing for selling houses on the lower end of prices. At least that's what I've heard.
It's interesting how different the housing markets are between here and Canada. I will say that houses get a LOT more expensive when you get into center city type areas. Nee and I stay out in suburbs, where house prices are much lower.
Tarball and Duck are pretty clingy anyway. ^_^ I imagine Tarball will start exploring pretty quickly, though. He won't be able to go outside, which will be a loss, but the house is big enough that I think it'll compensate. Rye... I dunno. I actually predict she'll spend some time feeling betrayed and won't want anything to do with us, but that eventually she'll recover and go back to her friendly, if aloof, self.
