HAPPY 5TH OF JULY
Seems funny, huh?
Today was our 4th celebration. Because I was off today (I had to work yesterday) and Robert was also off today (he had a 3 day weekend).
I slept until about 11. Sheryl came over and grilled burgers. She uses my grill to keep from having to buy gas canisters for hers…and mine is attached to the main gas line of our house and thus never runs out. So, she feeds me, I let her use my grill. -grin-
But, yeah, she came over and grilled some burgers, and I grilled some hotdogs. Then we went to her house and ate and spent a couple of hours in the pool
Well, I spent a couple of hours BY the pool. I would have liked to have gone swimming, but she invited the neighbor’s kid over, and the kid and Robert were splashing around too much for me to enjoy myself. All of Robert’s family seems to be big pool game people (Marco polo and monkey in the middle and other such things) and I’m more of a float around and relax type person, with a few laps swum in between relaxation sessions.
When people are splashing and playing games in the pool one can neither relax nor swim laps.
Anyway, I just lay on the side of the pool and tanned instead. My arms and back are darker, but my legs are still paper white.
My poor, poor legs. Shall they never be brown?
I guess they could be if I wore shorts as often as I wear sleeveless shirts…. but I hate the flab on my thighs. Yuck.
I had to re-boot the entire computer again. We need a new one so badly. This one keeps crashing and I keep having to reinstall it all. URGH.
I also created a new homepage for me. It has no real name, but you can see it at http://www.geocities.com/lonely_mockingbird/home.htm if you’re interested. There’s not much going on there right now though.
And, that will be that for now. I’m getting off line. Washing dishes, and going to bed. Its back to work tomorrow.
