She watches him pace
Motionless and Smiling
He glances at her precious face
Wondering what’s going through her mind.
She’s thanking god
For sending her such an amazing gift
Knowing she is undeserving of it
She gets high off his stare.
He is clueless
And just goes back to his normal banter
He doesn’t sense the fear in her eyes
And she lets it all go with a sigh.
He hides it
But a tear had slowly brimmed his eye
He loves her so
Without her he’d die.
He knows that deep inside
She’s the one reason he breathes
But he’d never say a word of it to her
Because he fears his own needs.
She can’t help but smile
Because he makes her real
It's the only time she is ever happy
Cause he makes her feel.
She wants him to feel the same
She fears he needs more
So she’s constantly giving
There are days she just can’t though.
On those days he’ll hold her close
Kiss her lightly on her nose
Whispering in her ear
Words that they only know.
That’s what makes them so right
That’s what keeps them so strong
That’s what holds them together
And will for so long.
Their love is honest and true
Just like them
And though their hearts are worn and have been broken
They took trust within eachother.
Together they are whole
Loving and free
Two separate souls
Without each other wouldn’t be.
