About this time last year, I started an investment project. Investing about $200 dollars I made about $10 last year... okay for posterity's sake, I've added up the current totals, even though not every final report is in, and I made about $12.06. I suspect it will be about $13 when all is said and done. Regardless, that figure equals out to about a 6% return on my investment... pretty good if I do say so myself. If I take into account all of the money I've received back, and not just the interest... it turns into something more like 19.6%.
When I invest, I only use money that I can afford to say good-bye to. I invest in small amounts, and when my investment closes, I get the initial investment back plus interest. Investing in small amounts like this, my mindset is, "Here is the money I would use to go and eat out. Instead, I'm going to put it into this investment, get it back over time, plus interest."
So, the idea is: just interest is about $12 (basically unearned dollars). The total return so far, $39.25.
My curiosity is: Is anyone else interested in investing? Would other people trust me to invest their money, especially only small amounts? I've been looking into different ways to invest on the behalf of others - ostensibly without breaking any SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) Laws, and without spending thousands of dollars to register an investment company. It's kind of silly to spend all this time looking into it, if nobody is interested, so I wanted to go ahead and ask.
Especially after spending a year doing it and succeeding, I feel rather confident in myself, enough to ask seriously if anyone is interested.
Anyway, that's my question, so please let me know your thoughts. :)
