It was certainly worth the hassle of getting up very early to view the lunar eclipse. As any good lover of all things dark, something like that would be a pity to miss. The full moon became a dark orange, and hung in the western sky like a Halloween lollipop. The early morning sky here was cloudless, so this eclipse was magnificent. All the other stars were all the much brighter, with the usually bright full moon turned dark. Orion's belt was vertical in the eastern sky.
Next total lunar eclipse visible to most of the U.S. is February 21, 2008. Next total eclipse visible to all north America is December 21, 2010, on YULE! How wild is that! Magick will be strong that night!
