Fandom is depressing

Guardian.co.uk: Douglas Adams's increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy is to be extended to six titles, after Adams's widow Jane Belson sanctioned a project which will see children's author Eoin Colfer taking up the story.

That's thinking positively. Did they say it was going to include the original cast? Because they very well could be writing about a ~new~ cast, in which I would cry and die a little inside.

Omfgggg I was actually saying that to Scone this morning. That I would literally IGNITE IN FUCKING VOMIT if that happened. I'm hoping they don't though, since the writer is obviously such a big fan, and any sort of completely new cast would be total blasphemy (Dragonriders of Pern, anyone?? I don't know if you read those, but she kept fucking completely switching out the cast in the most annoying way).

Man, maybe it'll be set in whatever alternate universe Fenchurch was sent to, where everyone is still alive or some bullshit. I loved Fenchurch... she was a classy lady.

As long as it's well-written and makes me laugh as much as the original series did, I'll be fine. It won't be the same for me, but I'll still read it.
