Pet peeve when debating a topic: Mood Whiplash
Opponent: How dare you suggest that the 1 in 4 rape statistic is in some way flawed! I bet you like seeing women get raped! I bet you wish the percentage was 100!
Me: See, this is one of my problems with your worldview and mindset. I object to the notion that nobody can question your statistics without being accused of supporting rape. 1 in 12 is too many. 1 in 60 is too many. 1 in 200 is too many. You shouldn't have to inflate your statistics just to prove that rape is bad.
Opponent: I was just offering constructive criticism, lol. You shouldn't get upset so easily, lol. Just because I don't put a smiley at the end of each sentence doesn't mean I'm attacking you lol. I'm not attacking you. You can believe what you like and that's A-OK with me lol.
