Barely substantiated statistics
Got a few lil factoids to present today. I'm having trouble sourcing them, so take it with somewhat of a grain of salt.
An angry article about the terrible things that have resulted from Israel's existence claims that 60,000 Muslims have been killed by Jews since the '40's.
An article on the other side claims that 11 million Muslims have been reportedly killed by other Muslims.
An Israeli website claims that about a thousand Jews have been killed in Arab countries by Muslims. Another couple of sites claim that over a thousand Israelis were killed by Palestinians from 2000-2007.
Estimates suggest that there are about 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide, and about 14 million Jews.
So, recognizing that the Muslim death count may be over-exaggerated and the Jewish deaths are greatly underestimated, let's do some percentages.
Muslim deaths by Jews / total Muslim population = 4 x 10e-5
Jewish deaths by Muslims / total Jewish population = 14 x 10e-5
Muslims deaths by Muslims / total Muslim population = 733 x 10e-5
Let's run some more statistics:
A Jew is 3.5x more likely to be killed by a Muslim than a Muslim is to be killed by a Jew.
A Muslim is 193x more likely to be killed by a Muslim than by a Jew.
A Muslim is 52x more likely than a Jew to be the victim of a killing perpetrated by a Muslim.
