While you're in the afterglow...

One thing I've heard discussed, this year and last, is that now that we're moving away from the Big Al's Gothic Festival model, toward the Net.Goth Family Reunion, our numbers are waning.

This is not necessary.

Here's your challenge: as you tell your friends about the experiences, spare no reality. Tell them about the camaraderie, about the "not gothic enough" music (except on Sunday, heh), tell them about the amazing clothing and the non-stop laughter and the after parties. Find the friends who say, "Wow, that sounds amazing," and get them to come next year. Your friends who say, "I want to see big-name bands," politely pardon them. They're great, and big-name bands are great, but you can party without them for one weekend.

In short, you know which of your friends would love Convergence, so start working on them now and get them to come to future Convergii. Start now while it's still fresh!

If every single group who came to C* brought one like-minded friend, and some of those came back and brought their cool, fun-loving friend the next year, we'd never lack for fresh blood.
