Official new commenting rules - Simsecret
Hey everyone, Bella here with some news, clarifications, and some much needed transparency.
For now I will be the mod in charge of comment moderation. Billie is going to be focused on the secrets. This means comments will not be deleted since I can only hide and screen them. It also means that I will be enforcing the rules in this post. Any comments or concerns are welcome in my inbox. I'm happy to listen and clarify.
Now onto the rules. Most of this is the same as it's always been,I will just be enforcing it more consistently.
Images and videos:
1. Do not embed videos in comments. Please link instead.
2. Images in comments must be smaller than 600×600 px. Gifs must be smaller than 400×400. If a gif is slowing the page for you, notify me.
3. Repeat images will be removed. If the same image has already been posted the first or smallest will remain.
Content:
1. NSFW content is not allowed. Censored sims porn is acceptable. Real porn or uncensored is not.
2. Memes and photos of celebrities and public figures are allowed. Pictures of simmers who are not public figures are not. Streamers and game changers are public figures. Screenshots from streamer videos are okay provided they meet the other requirements. Posting a photo of a simmer (Cindy or anyone else) with the intention of insulting their appearance is not ok.
3. Repeat comments will be regarded as spam. Don't post the same thing over and over.
4. Bigotry will no longer be tolerated. If you have an opinion about someone say it without hate speech. This includes common slurs that have become too prevalent here of late. You can state that you disagree with someone's life choices, societal opinions, etc without personally insulting others.
Off topic discussion, drama, cc insulting, ea trash talk, and trash talking ss or us mods is still fine.
If these rules prove too difficult for you to follow I'll reinstate ip logging or screening.
