thanks. got them, read them.

i like waiting for goldman sachs - though reminds me more of eugene ionesco than beckett. i have some thoughts on how it could look, but i'm afraid i'm not all that keen on the idea of projecting slides. structually, it seems to me like a series of increasingly bizarre bouts of madness that snap back to reality, and i'd like to take it very literally with the lighting - start with a naturalistic white light, and as each monologue continues slowly cross fade it into some surreal flat bright primary colour, and then suddenly snap back to the sunlight state after each one as they suddenly drop a prosaic answer to a question. like, the bit where they're talking about being white and purple - i'd colour one of them purple.

zoo story should be very naturalistic - just sunlight, with perhaps a very long slow slow fade into twilight across the whole piece

and i'd love to do some spooky goth lighting effects for mercutio. a bit of smoke, a lot of back lighting, and perhaps even have him holding a candle or a lamp to light his face.

anyway - how does next monday sound to meet and talk through stuff? and who do you have on board (if anyone) dealing with costumes & set?

Hi Ben, thanks for the ideas! Am free on Monday. Could we do 8pm? Sets/costumes am working with the actors on these.

of course, if we have real fire on stage you'll have to spray everything with flame retardant and have a stage hand standing by with a fire extinguisher the whole time... that's IF the venue allow it.

monday at 8 would be great. i'm stuggling to think of a half decent suitable cafe in the area. any ideas? otherwise, monkeychews will probably be quiet enough on a monday evening. or the enterprise.

Hi Ben, I don't mind the Enterprise of Troika in Primrose Hill, the Russian Place. reasonably priced and ambient.
