I just tried to write this on ello and dammit that place is just too confusing. Sorry I'm not designery enough to appreciate the layout and clearly not clever enough to navigate it effectively. Oh well.
This is only of interest to me (hence going to ello with it). So. Hey. How are you?
Why I don't care about the "the universe is really huge so you are insignificant, get over yourself"
Or why Yakko's world is a better song. Small is not insignificant.
Brains separate from material? Or lack of control over the universe is not lack of control over ourselves, hence determination is not absolute absurdity (sorry, Camus). Maybe.

speaking of Camus, feeling like an outsider more and more. Adjusting the scope from too big to too small. At too big the universe stretches beyond and you're teeny and don't matter. At too small, everything is us v them, they're wrong, they're stupid, they're irrational, they need to get over themselves, and never, EVER admit that "us" suffer from exactly the same narrowmindedness as "them."
Just sick of the fingerpointing, sick of people trying to win at the cost of getting anywhere, sick of people sticking to their sides of the road and imagining that, without interacting, they "know" the people on the other side. No interaction, no actual cooperation and attempts to empathize are belittled. Why listen when you can interrupt with a snarky joke? Fuck you.
