At the Silver Sunrise

Jun 25, 2005 20:55

Alex stands backstage nervously in her slinky dress. She's never sung in front of a large group of people before. She peeks out through the curtains, the place is pretty full. She smooths her dress and takes a deep breath. The lights come up and she steps through the velvet curtain, swishing to the center of the stage and standing behind the microphone. She scans the crowd for people she knows and smiles a bit when she sees one or two. The crowd hushes and her ruby painted lips part as she starts to sing.

Be my lover, be my baby, be my wonderdrug
Be my flower, weeping silver tears on
a rusted heart.
Dont say a word, just let me kiss it
all away
No more sorrow, no more sadness no more

Be my lover, baby you just got to want me
I dont know, cant think, not even breathing
Be my blood-stained suit of armor, be my everything
Dont say you love me cause I dont care
I love you more than you will ever know
No more worry, no more trouble, no more sadness
An no more sorrow

Oh my heart shines when you kiss my mouth
What a sweet surprise
And I stop cold when youre in the room
And you look my way
Say my name, say my name

Be my lover, Be my, Be my baby
Be my wonderdrug, my wonderdrug
my wonderdrug. Be my, be my baby
Be my lover
Be my wonderdrug

The crowd applauds and she curtsies a bit before walking to the side of the stage and down to see if her friends come over to talk to her

((OOC: I'll be around off and on all night if it's not crazy busy here at work, please be patient with me))
