Hello again.
I downloaded an app for my phone to post on LJ again. I am hesitant to keep posting on Facebook. I miss the archival abailities of LJ, as well as the limit on the number of characters. Mostly, I find Facebook to have become an annoying place, full of aquaintances, not friends. I am fortunate to have a large base of friends and aquaintences of varied mindsets. However, being polite in such a wide base restricts me from saying whatever is on my mind.
I am surprised that I have gotten into a habit of expressing my thoughts in writing. I didn't post a status yesterday. Today I felt a palpable need to write my thoughts. I didn't want to walk back into the halls of FB to shout my thoughts, only to hear quipped comments (supportive and derisive). It feels good to be here in my cozy place, talking to myself and close friends.
I'm glad to be here today, and I think I'll be here much more often again. I may not say what's on my mind today, but the door is unlocked, and I've dusted things off to spend more time here again.
