a dinner party

i hosted a pot-luck tonight. r and his girlfriend e came over with their dog ellie, as well as t&c. all the food was yummy and ralphie enjoyed playing with a dog close to him in age. i think everyone enjoyed themselves (despite my slightly burnt fried apple pies). c was fascinated with watching the dogs play, i assume that is because he has never really been around dogs. he kept asking if what they were doing was normal.
i had a very long conversation (over the chat thingie on facebook) with my very first boyfriend. we haven't really talked much for a long time. now if things work out the way i hope they will, i may be moving up to a city close to him. my fingers are crossed that i get that promotion.
i think ellie wore ralphie out. he's in bed without me at the moment. :-)
