Checked the forecast for this evening; lo and behold, there's a frost advisory for tonight. Clearing skies means it could get cold enough between three and eight AM to do serious damage. Realistically, that's more of an issue for higher elevations and outlying areas; the urban heat bubble should keep Denver Metro warm enough to hold the risk down to "patchy frost possible".
That being said, the tomatoes still think it's summer. They're blooming and putting out fruit. My fuchsia is still blooming, the lavenders are going for a second round of blossoms, and the morning glories have almost swallowed the fence. I didn't even plant morning glories this year; they seeded themselves. This is why the yard now looks like a Bed, Bath, and Beyond just exploded.
Task list for tomorrow: obtain new zipper for the greenhouse door, mulch the really sensitive plants, and start getting the winter veggies bedded.
I'm not ready for it to be autumn yet. There are still dragonflies around.
