On summaries and other mythical beasts

How do you think up a good enough summary for your story to catch a reader's attention? I think that maybe part of my problem is trying to entice the reader into wanting to read what I've written. I happen to believe that I am a half way decent writer. I also know that I have a small inferiority complex about just about everything in my life.

So I'm trying to think up a good summary for the secret angel story I wrote. I'm about to do a second beta read on the story. I regret that I will not be able to print it up and read a hard copy which is how I usually weed out all remaining errors. And there are almost always errors, because no matter how hard you try, you miss something. You're only human after all. Although it seems that errors aren't that big a deal if the story is gripping enough.

Back to my point. A catchy summary. I'm trying to think one up and it sounds so lame. I don't know how to word it in such a way that I don't give key story points away and I don't make the read decide to skip my piece.

Back to think up clever ways to say this is my story now please read me and leave me a lovely comment that will make me smile.
