Lex just pushed Lionel to his death. They actually did it. And I have to say MR effing rocks. He's so incredibly amazing. every word is spoken with coldness that sends a chill running up my spin.
MR is the total star of this episode.
Of course Clark breaks into Lionel's office and finds some long phallic thing that he rubs and twists. It's a message from Lionel telling him to get that box because it contains the way to control Clark. A guide to how to use your hot Kryptonian boy?
Well actually, Clark your father's death is technically your fault. If you hadn't asked for that do-over Jonathan would be alive today, but instead you needed your precious Blana so Lex has you there. Though how Lex knows is beyond me. Maybe he watched S5 on DVD.
I actually hope Lex's little helper destroys that pictures and they don't get proof of what Lex did. She shot Lois in the arm to protect Lex, and that makes me like her just a little. And of course she is killed right after she finds out the truth about Clark.
Though that was an interesting episode and Mike owned it completely, I feel that this whole plot has the potential of alienating viewers because that last scene at the grave sight with Lex walking away from Clark was too heartbreaking. They looked beautiful but there's no way they'll ever be anything but enemies now. Clark knows that Lex killed Lionel. Yes we know they're supposed to enemies but since Clark is not Superman at this point, turning Lex all evil seems so very premature.
Just to add. This episode really hits home how much this show just isn't the show I once loved so very much. I would rather have the clex than this.
This season really has turned Smallville into a completely different show that seems to have no connection to what's come before, other than the characters names.
Frankly, the sudden love Clark seems to have for Lionel makes no sense at all and I find it nauseating. It feels false and contrived just for this plot.
