This day is turning out sucky. I signed up for Rogers (my net provider) e-mail to get the web space (since most IP usually give you at least 20 megs of ad free space) only to discover they are now using geocities which is NOT ad free. I was hoping that I could use the 20 megs to move some of my site over. I can't really justify paying for the site I have. It costs and gets no feedback and not much traffic, so I thought I would shut it down when the time ran out, and move it to someplace free. Now I find out that if I do, I'd have to put up with ads anyway. Not the end of the world, but I hate ads. They suck and clutter up the web page. I guess like so much in life, I don't have a choice.
I told the rogers guy to tell them they should provide the ad free space again. He said he'd make that note in comments. Not that it's going to go anywhere, but at least I let them know what I thought. I was polite about it. Now I'll have to either move everything here to my lj, or think of something else.
