Callous indeed
One thing about last night's SV episode that I keep thinking about.
He killed somebody. Lex killed a meteor freak and he did if for Lana. I watched that scene unfold and my first thought was that Lex was killing his queerness and he was doing it for the woman he loves, but I was wrong. He was in danger the meteor mutant knew about level 33.1 , so it was not for Lana at all. It was for an ulterior motive. Whew dodged that bullet. He wasn't killing his queer. He needed to hide it from Lana. He needed Lana to believe that he's 'straight.'
Maybe I read too much into that, but it's how it felt. Lex has always embraced his freak. He's never been afraid of it. Lana is the one who hates freaks and she even says so at the end. Now it seems so does Lex.
His own father moves Lex's 'closet' to an undisclosed location, thus helping his son hide his true nature.
