Books, Playbooks, and GIP

Two books this week. One is an e-book and my first official e-read. The experience itself was okay. I was testing out an app to see if it's worth the purchase. I'm wary about getting apps for my Playbook. Blackberry seems to have dropped the ball on this wonderful tablet. I love my tablet. I'm reading the Angel after the fall comics on it and it's perfect and I've just read a book on the thing and I love the games.

I discovered a 3D mahjong game which I love but the way they set up the time on it sucks and makes game play impossible to go past level three. Which is too bad because I would love to play that game for hours.

Anyway, on to the books.

One science book which was a good read and perfect if you wish to find out what it is that physicists do. I wish I did what they do.

Knocking on Heaven's Door by Lisa Randall
The author does a great job explaining in easy to understand all the topics in easy to understand terms. Plus she is super smart.

And the e-book I read was

Warrior's Cross by Abigail Roux & Madeleine Urban

Not as well written as the physics book, but a nice quick read.

And also new default icon. Yes, Damon and Alaric have usurped Castiel. Sorry Castiel. I do still love you to pieces but these two are so pretty together. Some time soon, I plan to make a new banner for my LJ. Something in the same flavor. I'm a crap artist and right now don't feel up to anything creative.
