I can just imagine Stannis' outraged reaction to that question. ;) I love the description you gave of him, btw, especially this line: Stannis had slowly regained the weight he had lost from the siege, but it was as if his body found fat to be a frivolous waste, the tall, wiry frame only allowing itself to be muscle and bone.

Oh, any excuse to include a description of Stannis. Those eyes, that jaw line, that body *fans self* :P

I'm sure if an incident like this happened it would completely burn the blossoming beautiful friendship. At least until Stannis realised Davos was just too useful, and instead force himself to forget that such an incident EVER happened.

Book!Stannis is so hot.

Knowing these two there was probably just awkward UST and nothing really happened because Stannis is repressed like that. I don't know, I love to imagine Stannis and Davos actually acting on all that UST, but I never manage to make it work.

I thought the likely continuation of this would be for Stannis to actually misinterpret, or pretend to misinterpret, what Davos meant. i.e. "seduce you with favour in order to win loyalty." Then the ball would be back to Davos to either persist or desist. But going down that route would take things to even more wildly ooc places then they already were :P

Yeah, it doesn't help that they're both completely oblivious to their UST. Yeah guys, the 'tongue line' was a totally heterosexual thing for you to say to each other...

I'm sure Stannis' reaction to Davos' last would be priceless, if you do plan to continue this. If not, it still stands alone quite nicely ;).

There needs to be more fic out there of Stannis and Davos when they first met.
