My mom and I..

got back from our trip late Monday night. Well, not that late. It was like 10:30 by the time we got home. I kissed my husband, hugged the cats and then went to bed. My ears were bugging me and it hurts while the pressure is turning back to normal, so I wanted to just sleep it off. Yeah I know what you're thinking, how can the world champ be in pain from a little ear problem, well ya know what, I just can so nyah :P lol. I know flying shouldn't bother me since I do it all the time on my own but for some reason, its different in a plane. *shrug*

Anyhoo, when my mom and I finally got in our hotel room in Vermont, we both crashed and took a nap. Then she went out later and got some chinese food for dinner. Yum! Mings makes the best chinese I swear. So we turn on the tv and find out that half of the states around of us, plus some of Canada are involved in some great blackout. D'oh.

I teased my mom and told her she needs to stop going up to Vermont because everytime she does, something major happens. Like, the last time she went up there, 9/11 happened. This time, its biggest blackout in history, lol.

The next day my mom and I went to Parc Safari up in Canada. It's basically a zoo where the animals walk around in the open and you drive through it. My mom gave a zebra a french fry when it stuck its head in the car, which was cute... until it thanked us by promptly dumping buckets of drool onto the passengers seat of our rental. Fortunately at the time I was standing up through the sun roof and didn't get any on me, but ewww. My mom says that Parc Safari was A LOT bigger when she took me there when I was small and that she was disappointed with it. They had rides there in the main park sure, but they were really old, creaky, unsafe looking rides. Not so much fun there. It was a lot of fun to drive around through the animals though as we did that more than once.

On our way back, my mom decided to show me the two houses that her and my dad had built together. I was just a baby when we lived in them so I had never seen what they looked like, so we went and took some pictures. After that we went and picked up my aunt, my dads sister, and took her out to dinner. Yeah, so it seems my father is up to his old trick of ripping people off again. This time, it's his own sister. Can you believe that? His own sister! What an ass. Of course, it didn't really surprise me too much, this IS my father we're talking about here, but still. *shakes her head*

The next day my mom and I went over to take her mother out for lunch. We were a little getting there because we decided to take pictures of all the schools I had gone too and all the places we had lived at, not to mention the hospital I born at. Kinda like a, this is your life type thing I guess. We were suppose to have chinese again but my grandmother said that since we were late the food at the buffet wouldn't be any good and there'd hardly be any left. Apparently she seems to think that if you don't get there right when they open *rolls her eyes* So we ended up going to a seafood place where I had way too much fried food for my own good. Bleh. At this point, I was really beginning to miss Gotens cooking, lol.

We took my grandmother shopping after that, with some difficulty of course because we couldn't find the store wheelchair. Someone had evidently taken off with it and hadn't brought it back in yet. So we went to another store, did some grocery shopping there for her, then went back to KMart and there, in all its glory, was the wheelchair. After she found what she had needed, we waited in line. We waited some more. Then some more. Seems that everytime someone used a credit or debit card on the machines, the system would freeze up. Greeeeat. We were about to just leave, because my grandmother is impatient like that, when on our way out the lady at customer service said she could take us. Since my grandmother was paying with cash, we didn't have any problems.

Then we took my grandmother back to the assisted living place, visited with my grandfather for a few minutes in the ajoining nursing home, only a few minutes because he's not much of a talker, and went on our way. After that my mom and I drove around trying to find a room for the night that wasn't outrageously expensive. Which we did, kinda, I guess. Then we had dinner and did some shopping of our own.

I have to get ready for my classes now, especially if I want to get something to eat. I'll post about the other two days later, since I know you're all rivoted on your seats by all the excitement lol.
