Does it look prettier now?

How about now? Now?

It turns out the Refried Paper style won't let me play fast and loose with the affiliated stylesheets (I mean, I'm sure it would if I actually paid for my LiveJournal account...) so I've switched to Generator for the time being. Now if only I could find a color scheme I like....

Update, 12:07: Yes! I found the typo in the ( Read more... )

The only reason I paid for an account was because I was too impatient to ask someone to invite me. You can't make your own lj pages as a free user? That's sad. We love you anyways!

You can fiddle with page formats a little, but you have to muck around a bunch, and in my case that means using a lot of trial and error. Stupid CTRL-X not working. Sometimes when Pine commands fail, I try Emacs. That doesn't work either, though. =(

I don't know...that gray is kind of boring...maybe you need to add some GREEN to match your shoes. :)

But... but... flamingweasel said orange and gray was the best color combination ever!

I can't get the utility you linked to to work. I blame Java, or maybe JavaScript? Grr.

I seem to be having better luck with Ideo. At least I can see colors there, instead of everything all black. I've used other color tools online (and in the Gimp) before, so there's lots of resources for me. Yay!

I gather you used my font size trick? Otherwise Generator it totally unreadable under Mozilla for Linux.

With regard to being a paid member, I'm in my experimental "do I really plan to keep using it" phase. Once I'm sure it's a go, I'm going to get a paid account. This is one of those things were its so cool that they're willing to offer this for free that I just have to support it. This is what the Internet was supposed to be about.

Yeah, I used your font size trick and I've been playing around with the settings and stuff. And if I stick around here I'll probably send LiveJournal some money. I figure I've almost certainly gotten a subscription's worth of entertainment out of it so far. But I really, really need to get some money to send Everything2, because they've been entertaining me for literally years. They, too, are what the Internet is supposed to be about. For me, anyway =)

What, getting experience, casting spells, and levelling up? ;-)

(says the guy who's written about two definitions on Everything2)

Exactly. A big game of knowledge-sharing. I love it. Only 37 more writeups till level 6!
