I'm home on break from Sundance, and Allison says: Check out the mail! You got a summons for jury duty!" Oh, the poor fools. I'm a little confused that they think I should pay to return the juror affidavit thingy, but then again I suppose the municipal courthouse is less than a block away from Saturday Market, so hey. I wonder if I should go with my dad's "if it's a drug case, I guarantee you a hung jury" tactic or whether my fabulous hippie aura will be enough to deter them from selecting me. Heh. Seriously, I'm kinda curious about what the hell kind of cases they might be trying at the Eugene Municipal Court that could possibly require a jury. Mind-numbingly boring ones, probably. But hey. It's a chance to find out how well I pass for a respectable member of society, and only a one day/one trial term of service, right? Tee hee!
