[This is ridiculous. Stupid and .. she'd admit, a little imaginative. But otherwise pointless. And for an entire week? This was going to be one hell of a headache. So Anna looks as collected as ever, maybe just a little.. annoyed- for more reasons that just the orchestrated

They have an.. interesting sense of humor. [Oh so

[Castiel's music has shifted yet again, thankfully still to something somewhat unobtrusive and pleasant.]

Well you weren't brought up on Disney. [Which is.. A little strange to say. She'd grown up with him as well, of course.]

Disney? [And he just lets the weirdness go, though he does recognize it.]

It's a Animation studio, geared towards kids, mostly. Anywhere from really young to .. Well adults, I suppose. Family-friendly. The song I have is called Part of that World- it's from The Little Mermaid.
.. The Disney version is a lot more family friendly than the original tale. Happy ending and all that.

An animation studio makes movies, correct?
[Making sure he understands.]
The original ending was not happy?
[Most endings weren't, so that's no real surprise.]

Remind me to take you to the library someday. [Throat clear.] The Little Mermaid was originally about a young Mermaid who fell in love with a Prince on the land. She gave up her life under the sea and her identity as a mermaid for a human soul so that she could be with the Prince. .. It didn't work out in the end. She made a deal with a Sea Witch, and lost her soul in the end. The prince ended up marrying a princess instead, and so the mermaid died; turned into sea foam and ceased to exist.
... The Disney version is a little different. She ends up marrying the prince in the end, there's no talk of souls and she stays a human to live 'Happily Ever After'. The point of the Disney film is that.. While it starts out that Ariel- the mermaid, is fascinated by and wants to be a part of the human world, she meets the prince by chance, and falls in love. He becomes her new reason.
A lot of the Disney movies are based around True Love.

[But again he listens while she talks, apparently taking in the story. Unsurprisingly, he doesn't get it; surprisingly the part he doesn't get is the moral, rather than the technical features he usually gets hung up on.]
I don't understand the entertainment value in either of these. Both versions are extremely depressing in their own ways.
[Sorry, he's being a bit moody right now. His music shifts at his words, also.]

[She doesn't look annoyed by the lack of understanding he expresses. It's not like she really.. expected him to get it. Maybe a little.]
No, you wouldn't. People have a morbid fascination with things like that. It 'pulls at their heartstrings' in a sense. Some people like the original better; with the more depressing ending, whereas the younger generations prefer the animated film. A lot of people see the Happy Ending rather than the more depressing facts. Everyone wants a happy ending.
[Even Angels. ...His new music is interesting. Though the lyrics make her curious; the song is eerie. Still better than her own, which thankfully, is still playing low in her own background.]

And when she explains that way, he get it better, though he doesn't get quite see why anyone would purposefully want their 'heartstrings' pulled at. Maybe if they didn't get enough of that every day it'd be something new and novel.]
I believe I understand it better, now. Which do you prefer?
[And he's steadfastly ignoring the music change and it's lyrics.]

[It's not a mocking tone. ..Mostly. I mean, even Anna has trouble catching all his nuances and shout outs. It's kind of ridiculous.]
.. The Disney version, I guess. [She wishes for a Happy Ending, too.]

[Hey, look, a joke! Even if it's half true. He's relaxing a bit talking to Anna; she has that effect on him.]
That doesn't surprise me.

And why's that?

Because though both stories parallel yours, the Disney one has the favorable ending.
