You live in Pasadena? I live in San Diego, now! It amazes me how many people who I met east of the Mississippi now live in So Cal.

Then again, I think the instinct to get the hell out of wherever you grew up strikes most post-adolescents, and this seems like a natural enough place to land. Me, I thought I need to get the hell out of San Diego at 15. After doing a lap, though, I realized this part of the country suits me best, and, shockingly, I may have been suffering from a bit of exaggerated angst in my early teens...
