Aldbourne, England: November 1943

The weather was cold and rainy, per the usual in England, which meant that the training was more focused on the joys of foxhole digging and staying warm. Not to mention the standards of hunting food and living off the land. Most of the guys who had been raised as country boys thrived but men like Luz were miserable. If it hadn't been for the boys like Shifty Powers more than a few heads would have been rolling to a certain degree.

Today, though, was pouring rain which meant classroom work and sitting around doing much of nothing. The night tactical would be delayed due to the downpour, hand-to-hand was going to be off unless they could convince the cooks to move the tables for them...it was a typical boring day in Aldbourne leaving the men with to much time on their hands. When George peeked his head out of the barn side door where the NCO's generally met he glanced left and right making sure the coast was clear before motioning Bill to follow after him. "You got all your paperwork? Everything set so you know what to say, do, et all?"
