No. No, no, nonono-- [Jo didn't mean to turn her communicator on just yet, but after searching around the City for over an hour and coming up with nothing, she's starting to get a little tense. It's one thing to hear about others losing the ones they care about when the City decides to send them home, but the fact that both Winchesters are suddenly ( Read more... )

Yeah, but that guy freaked me out wouldn't friggin' talk. I didn't stick around there too long, though.

Should I go back?

I'll meet you there. If there are portraits, it means they're gone.

We won't get stuck, will we? They were talking about "getting out", and I figured--

Oh. Oh.

I'll be there in a couple minutes.

He's getting used to the huffing and puffing that accompanies hurrying up to get to a destination. When he reaches the Hall, Castiel first begins to search for their portraits before looking around to see if Jo has yet arrived.

Jo turns when she hears someone else step into the Hall, taking one last peek around the area she was searching before heading over to him. "You want to take one side and I'll get the other? I tried talking to Lurch over there, but still no dice." And now she's just going to glare over at the creepy man, even if he still refuses to acknowledge her for more than a few seconds at a time.

He nods, turning to scan the wall closest to him. "When did you last see either of them?"

Because he's not panicking, no. Castiel is simply attempting to get an idea of when they might have disappeared so that maybe he could figure out when they would reappear. Because of course they would come back for him. Right?

"Last night, I guess? I don't really remember." Jo squints a little as she thinks it over, and it's probably bad that her nights at work are all starting to blur together. Usually by the time she comes home it's too late for her to notice who she says 'Hi, bye, g'night' to once she steps through the apartment and into her room.

It didn't matter though, because now the search was on! Although she was really hoping they didn't find the Winchesters in this Hall... "You?"

He has to think a moment. Things happen to your time perception when life shortens so drastically. "Yesterday. Afternoon."

His footsteps echo quietly as he moves slowly down the hall. There are many faces here, none that he recognizes. Yet.

"Where the hell could they've gone? Neither of them said anything to me, and usually they give away some kinda signs if they're about to do something stupid together," Jo huffs, because she's mad at them, damnit, they can't just leave like this.

"I just-- oh." She stopped short then, looking up at a picture that made her throat tighten suddenly. "Whoa. Bobby." He was talking to her, eyes a little shadowed from the brim of his trucker hat, but she wasn't entirely focused on what he was saying so much as the fact that he actually was there. Well, his portrait was.

He's about to answer when she stops. Castiel moves to her side to see if she's found them and instead sees the portrait of Bobby. He's quiet for a minute, trying to determine if he wishes Bobby was here with them or happy that he got back out again.

"We should keep looking." He turns back, moving a few feet further and finding Dean staring out at him, the picture a little too realistic. "Jo."

Jo doesn't move away from Bobby's portrait too easily, the realization of just how much she misses him and home in general catching up with her... But eventually she does, clearing her throat and pushing her hand through her hair to try and shake herself out of it. Not the time.

When she's sure she's not about to have some kind of emotional break down, she turns to follow Cas' voice, and stops in front of the same portrait. That's that then. Jo looks at the portrait as if maybe it'll tell them something important, a clue, but he's only going on about 'getting out'. "What does this mean? Cas, is he--" She's at a loss of words for a little while, until she suddenly slaps the hard frame of Dean's portrait with the heel of her palm. "Damnit!"

Jo has succeeded in the rare event of making Castiel jump. He seemingly scowls over at her for startling him, but he's simply unsure of what to do about her outburst.

"We should keep looking for Sam." He might not be a cold bastard of an angel anymore but it doesn't mean he knows how to comfort an upset girl. Or have any kind of class at all.
