ah, back to livejournal
ive had much on my mind, and nowhere to put it, so here goes:
everyone seems to regard the high school band kids as near the lowest form of loser, and i resent that. i was in the marching band, and i had more fun during that time than during any other time i had in high school. the thing about band was that respect was always given to those who earned it. nobody ever had a good time there that didnt put in an effort to do their best.
and so, there were no cliques in marching band. my friends were just the people who respected me. and nowhere else have i ever been shown so much respect in my life.
so heres to the band geeks, i hope theyre all enjoying it as much as i did.
the other things ive been thinking about were these two people that i met when i joined band. theyre both long gone, but much of my respect still goes out to them. unfortunately, some things i did caused them to lose a lot of respect for me. and so by whatever means necessary, i wish to contact them and express my regret, because i regret nothing ive done over the years more than i regret that.
