Chapter 3: His Perfect Plan
Draco's POV:
Draco went down to breakfast a couple of days later, flanked by his usual cronies.
He sat at the end of the table, Pansy right beside him on his left arm, hung onto him like an insect. At that moment, a large eagle owl swooped down over the Slytherin table and dropped a bit of fancy parchment beside his plate of food. He recognized the bird as one of the family owls, Zeus. He tore the letter open and read it silently, trying to wave Pansy's eyes away.
Dear Draco,
I have sent the ingredients that you asked for. It might take a bit longer for them to arrive, but it should be there by this evening. I hope all is well at Hogwarts.
Love, Mother
Draco quickly folded the letter and slipped it into his robes, ignoring all of Pansy's requests. He glanced over at the Gryffindor table, the Dream Team was sitting in their usuak position, laughing about something that Potty had just said. He scowled. If he hated anything more than the trio , it would be their happiness. He might have been a bit jealous of the trio, but he would never admitt it, not even to his best friend, Blaise Zambini.
Draco pried Pansy's arm away with much effort, and headed for his Head Boy dormitory. He wanted to have a plan on exactly how he would give Pansy the potion. He thought for a few minutes, lying on his four-poster with his eyes to the ceiling and his hands under the nape of his neck.
I'll have to make an excuse for her to meet me. She'll fall for anyhing. She's such a daft little girl. I'll brew it in the girl's lavatory on the seventh floor. No one will see me in there, not even that old geezer Dumbledore.
Draco smirked. He finally fell asleep after hours of crafting and perfecting his plan.
Hermione's POV:
Hermione left the Great Hall at dinner that night, wondering why Malfoy wasn't in classes that day. She'd hoped that maybe he'd came down with a case of the Muggle flu, or maybe the Measles. Her bed looked so welcoming as she changed into a flimsy night gown. She crawled into bed and fell asleep almost immediately.
