ok for those of you that watched the OS vs. South Panola game:
remember derek pegues? well i didn't know this but he's playing for MSU's football team. he just got charged with a felony along with 5 others for assaulting an off-duty police officer. wtf!?
"Six Mississippi State football players pleaded 'not guilty' to charges that they assaulted an off-duty police officer early Sunday morning at a local night club.
Freshman Tray Rutland, Derrick Pegues, Keith Fitzhugh, Michael Gates, Charles Burns, and redshirt freshman Quinton Wesley have all been charged with felony assault in relation to the incident and all posted the $25,000 bond.
The event took place at a sorority party Saturday night at the Level III nightclub in downtown Starkville. According to published reports, at about 12:30am Sunday, off-duty police officer Demetric Armstead attempted to break up a fight between two women. While intervening Armstead was attacked by "several individuals," believed to be the defendants."
