3) Suave supercop visits crime scenes, cracks one liners, and plays with his sunglasses in a series of 5-minute shorts. CSI Miami - Mana_Goddess
4) A heavily tattooed kung-fu Dalai Lama, his Eskimo pals, a blind Chinese loli of mass destruction and some animals that don't exist (but should) take on an army of arsonists who wear giant shoulderpads. Avatar, the last airbender - articulation
5) A bunch of people kill each other over and over again. Some of them are robots, some of them are cows. Female announcer sounds like there's something much more exciting going on in the press booth than on the field.

A key part of his plan is making robotic doubles of an American officer who is 15 and doesn't know what an airport is. When the plan falls apart, he drops meteors on the troops
12) Survivors of an apocalypse fight over what's left of Earth. This all falls away to focus on the most biology-failing clone family this side of Solid Snake.
13) In The Future, there's no crime, poverty, war, disease or old age, and everyone gets to have lots and lots of sex. But the Noble Savage says it's bad. Two other people, who are among the smartest people on earth, go on a quest to stop being happy. Brave New World - Mana_Goddess
14) A man decides to rebel against his oppressive government. He fails, and it ends with him dying pointlessly and accomplishing nothing.
15) Angry people hire a professional to off someone they don't like. After much preparation, all falls apart because someone can't handle a few thousand volts to the testicles. (My original contribution to the page!)
16) James Bond wanna-bes overthrow a democratically elected government because they dislike the candidates donors. Oh, and he was the next Hitler. Everything is solved by re-instituting a monarchy. (Haven't added to the page yet.)
17) Cinnamon has become the most important resource in the universe. It also causes hallucinations.
(Alternatively, The son of an assasinated aristocrat runs away to the desert where he attempts to avenge his father's death through the judicious use of knife fights.) Dune - Ryuusen
18) A man has one Hell of a Mind Screw. And it's all a circle. Alternately, a politician is brought low by a rumor that is never fully explained, and can only be saved by a letter his wife wrote, that is also never explained. The rest of the book is unrelated and plotless. (In all fairness, I've never managed to get through more than a few chapters of this.)
19) Laser tag is Serious Business, Real Time Strategy games even more so. Ender's Game - MommyJesus
20) Three kids use The Power Of Love to help save the universe from a disembodied brain who's really big on conformity.
