The end is bittersweet

[just outside the barrier is an Irish half-demon with his vacation pass gripped in hand. He can't seem to get in but perhaps that's because the pass is kind of... burnt and ripped to shreds]

... You would think, with all the effort to keep us they'd let a fella back in if he wants it.

[trying the same from this side. only succeeds in scorching his hand a bit]

[scribbling something on a piece of paper (it's a 2000 yen note actually) and when he drops it is floats through the barrier] My address, in case you can come visit. I'm gonna be looking into going between worlds too, so look out for me once you get home.

[takes the paper; the address means nothing to her, because they are from different worlds]

[trying to get closer to the barrier] I'd give you something else to remember me by but I don't think the barrier will let me.

[pop. he's maybe halfway through, and the rest of the pass just started to smoke. can't come further in, in spite of his trying] Well, looks like I was wrong.
