I kinda missed season 5 because of school, etc. (and also because I don't quite like Dair). So, I was really confused about Ivy. I mean, I know about her character from wikipedia and IMDB, but I am confused of why do Lily hates her so freaking much. And is there any of the boys that accidentally hooked up with her (before Rufus, I mean). Because I swear to God, I feel like hugging Dan after the last scene. His face, just. so. traumatized. (if that's even the right way to put it into words)
the long story short (or as short as i can make it) on ivy: she was originally "charlie rhodes" in season 4 i think, lily's sister carol's daughter, who comes back and befriends serena and then slowly starts to unravel and eventually tries to bone dan and tells him to "call her serena" and everyone is like :O and then it turned out she was just acting crazy as an excuse to get out of town, because she was actually hired by carol to get her access to the real charlie (or "lola" as she actually goes by)'s trust fund, and lola is none the wiser until cece dies and it all comes out, PLUS i guess ivy actually got close to cece while she was dying and confessed everything and cece ended up leaving her pretty much all of her money and lily's apartment, which was technically cece's too? and then they all fight over it and lily tries her best to burn her but it just pisses lola off, and she gives her part of the inheritance to ivy to talk down the van der woodsen's (after it was taken away from ivy, it was split between lily and carol, and

Pros: Dan cut his hair!!! Sort of-but the hairstyle still reminds me of the good ol days-a little. I will say it better than last season I can tell you that.
Serena is happy with her new boyfriend, I forgot his name.
Georgina is Georgina. And I thought motherhood would change her.
Cons: I agree with ohnonadiaaa on the Serena thing.
Chuck and Blair doing what they do best with their on and off relationship.
I feel so sorry for Dan, being scarred for life after what he seen at the end. With all the people Rufus could have slept with, why Ivy?
Nate...being Nate along with a pinch of natefused and archiburn. Tagging along to what ever scheme Chuck and Blair have in store (and dating girls that'll result in screwing up his life) that new girl at his workplace looks like a kid *cough* she's in high school *cough*. I really wish I can say this is an improvement from the endless litany of cougars he dated before. It's obvious this new relationship isn't going to last long (thinks of the many relationship of Nate's) yea it won't last
