Title: Lessons from Experience
Team: Upper East Side
Challenge: 1. Rain
Character/Pairing: Chuck, Eleanor
Rating: G
Author's Notes/Warnings: First drabble ever. Spoilers for “O Brother…,” because I’m still hung-over from that episode.

Before he left for good, Harold had a way of saying goodbye that told her he would be back-maybe late, maybe dripping from the rain, maybe suspiciously flushed and flustered, but back. This boy reminds her too much of when she last saw Harold before the divorce papers arrived in the mail.

“I left a note,” he says, his back turned to her. “Said I’m sorry.”

Eleanor knows that you can’t force anyone to stay.

But when Blair refuses to eat and Lily calls up to frantically ask if Charles had dropped by, she wishes she had still tried.

Title: Boys Will Be Boys
Team: Upper East Side
Challenge: 1. Rain
Character/Pairing: Carter, Chuck, Nate, implied Nate/Blair
Rating: PG
Author's Notes/Warnings: Some porn-watching, but nothing graphic. Chuck and Nate are in the eighth grade and Carter is a senior. At least, they should be if my memory of “Bad News Blair” is any good.

The buxom blonde walks after her lover into the rain, and it’s pretty obvious she isn’t wearing a bra. It’s also obvious what will happen next.

“Only in the movies,” Chuck says appreciatively. “At least for Nathaniel.”

Chuck is his best friend, but Nate hates it when he talks like that. Carter is nicer and just says “All in good time” with a twinkle in his eyes.

“Blair is another kind of girl,” Carter adds with all the sagacity of Yoda. “You need to let her… ripen.”

Nate sighs. These two obviously don’t know how to take care of women.
