What do we stand for?

Violence really, really bothers me. Most of you who know me already know this.

I am so incredibly disturbed by the bombings in Iraq yesterday. I watched the news for hours and still cannot find an actual reason why the US would have conducted in this way.

When will the violence subside?
When will we all realize that love is the answer?

Nothing is worth taking the lives of innocent civilians and despite all of their "attempts" at sticking to the major detrimental figures...

innocent people are still losing their lives every day

Our President Bush really needs to stop this political bullshit drama, grow up, pick up a dictionary, and end this war.

I'm sick of seeing all this hostility... this pain... this misery.

So often do we see bumper stickers on cars that say "support our troops". Don't you understand folks that this dirrectly correlates to "support the war"?

I am an American. I love so many aspects of this country but I feel as though we have completely lost our way....

The principles that this "free" country was established upon have been lost in the shuffle for greed, power and hate.

I do not support this war.
I do not support war, in general.

I would like to support the troops by bringing them home to their families that miss them.

We weren't put here on this gorgeous planet to self-destruct.... but unfortunately, that is the direction in which we are headed.
