President Obama
I sat on my living room floor last night crying tears of joy as I watched the polls come in. It just makes me so proud to be a part of a nation that seems to finally be learning from our mistakes and acknowledging that we need a change. I am so excited that I was able to be a part of that change. A small part, being that I live in Kansas, but a part of it.
America changed history last night. We fought through our prejudices and hundreds of years of pain and elected Barack Obama, our first black President.
I am also very excited this morning to watch the reactions from around the world. The world is celebrating this with us. They are proud of us and, I pray, have regained some respect for our nation.
There is a long road ahead. I'm ready to walk down it.
