So Spidey and Hawkeye have crossed paths a lot, both being old school and all. Technically I think their first meeting was when Spidey was a babby hero and Hawkeye was a woebegone not-really-villain but I've never seen that issue referenced anywhere so I assume they Just Don't Talk About It.

Early on Spidey and Hawkeye clashed a lot -- in fact Hawkeye is partly responsible for why Spidey didn't join the Avengers back in the 60s -- because they both had abrasive, jokey personalities and sharp tempers; later on they seemed to get along a little better (as best as I can recall, they never teamed up frequently), but weren't pals or anything. More recently they were on the New Avengers together during its Darkest (ahem) hour, and even though they clashed a lot over how the team should handle certain situations (i.e. whether or not to kill Norman Osborn) one would assume there's a certain amount of respect and camaraderie between the two through sheer adversity. It's tough to make the call on how buddy-buddy they should be because the way Bendis wrote their interaction (i.e. fairly shallowly) they could disagree a lot but be pretty tight or they could not like each other at all but respect what they went through together. So... idek.
