Maybe when work calms down, I might pick up another. I was playing three for awhile, but lost two due to inactivity on my part when my hours at work got insane.
See - I know I'm playing a newschool Titan, but really... the 80s run is my favorite. They're just really daunting to play, I think. The main crew is mostly taken or previously played, and the secondaries - WE know that Hawk and Dove were amazing (and frankly I want to play Don just to play out him and Hank arguing about Obama's peace prize because YOU KNOW THEY WOULD. AND THE WORD HIPPIE WOULD GET USED. A LOT. AND LOTS OF BIG WORDS FROM DON TO AVOID SAYING STFU HANK.) but a lot of people are like "Hawk and who? Is Dove gay? He's gay, right?"
80s run is my favourite, too, even if the Newer Titans, as terribly mistreated as they are NOW, had a very good run, too. And everyone loves YJ!, so. The 80s run is quite daunting, yes, many characters that were not the main cast got killed off before we got too into them or just after one big character arc, or the Crisis maimed a thousand Titans, or or or or. Hawk and Dove were so great, though, and as cute as the newer ones were I actually prefer the older ones, and would like there to be four even if the entire canon of chaos and order powers don't work that way

YJ was just in a class all its own. Quite possibly the best "young teen" book I've read, because it was actually allowed to be (gasp!) funny. Whereas GenX, Academy X, and Teen Titans are/were more about the drama. YJ had a sense of humor...and this would be why I play Kon

I think he did, yeah. It's been awhile since I reread. The Pantha thing irked me, because a lot of times... it's like DC doesn't really value the Titans characters as characters. Let's face it, the only untouchable character in DC-verse is Dick Grayson. The Titans might have been the best selling book for decades, but even then the Justice Leaguers have always been the flagship. With the Titans it's kinda like... "We need some hero casualties in this crossover. Who's recognizable on the Titans but not already slotted for the next big crossover? Pantha? Right, kill her off."

It seems so disrespectful to his character. At first, you could buy that they were putting him through hardships to deal with certain issues in comics AND to build strength of his character. But now? Well, the current Titans issue hardly exists to me, anyway. They had a recent issue where Donna was like, Sarah Palin suddenly in looks, and also was afraid to hang around crowds of rich and pretty people DESPITE BEING A PHOTOGRAPHER and was suddenly a wallflower and I just. UGH. BACK TO ROY. Yes to the Hawkgirl thing. I really think Roy can do better, and I am sick of Roy being "used" and having him be a total sucker and fooled in all of these relationships and just. Not cool. To get him in a relationship with a girl who is SOULBOUND to another man just to give him conflict and to develop the girl. But really, that's all he is: a stepping stone for character development of others

I'll deal with everything else in a second just. My god the friggin' soap opera amnesia stuff. I don't care if you send Connor back to the monastery like you did the last time, but don't strip him of EVERYTHING THAT HE WAS AS A PERSON. I mean, they left him with his martial arts skills (which, according to Batman, were second in the world for a non-meta) and a new healing factor. Setting him up probably for some future run as the new DC Wolverine, or whatever. I'm terrified of what they're going to do with poor Connor who had a very nice little role in DC as the voice of reason in the Arrow books and occasional JL reserve duty. When it comes to Arrows and Bats storywise, sidekicks exist ONLY to be mistreated for the gains of Bruce and Ollie
