So guys. I somehow stumbled across Slade's solo series last night and have pretty much been reading through it ever since. I highly recommend it to EVERYBODY, seriously, especially if you like badass older men. *coughSladeandWintergreencough*

One thing I have noticed about this series, though, aside from badassery in general, is this: When it comes to women? Slade sure knows how to pick 'em.

This little gem, for instance, is something I found particularly hilarious.

To summarize what's happening here: Slade and Wintergreen have gotten mixed up in one of many quarrels between Israel and her neighbors. Apparently, Wintergreen's father was a traitor during WWII and helped the Nazis (unbeknownst to is family) so Wintergreen asks Slade to help him get the Israelis to not disclose certain documents on his father's activities to spare his family grief. Naturally Slade agrees.

Also, in a typical fashion, Slade ends up working with with a badass lady called Aniel who works for the Israelis. A lot of shit happens, and they discover that they're looking for this demonic type thing that feeds off of conflict and wants to incite more infighting between the Israelis and Arabs. Sounds pretty straightforward right?

Well...

So they're on the run from the Israeli authorities and are looking for a place to crash.

Yes, Aniel. Please do tell us what you learned in Jersey.

*ahem*

Skipping ahead a few pages...

WHAT. BETRAYAL BY A LOVELY WOMAN. SAY IT'S NOT SO!!!

Believe me, it gets better.

You read that right, ladies and gents. Our lovely lady is, in fact, the demonic cretin our heroes have been searching for.

You know what this means...

Yeeeeeeeah. The moral of this story?

Slade really needs to stop tapping every sexy woman he comes into contact with.

canon sharing, slade is a ladies man, rw is a freak
