I don't know - it looked REALLY HEAVY. But the casting was clean, that was probably what he was going for.

I'm used to seeing stormtroopers so my first throught was vaccuuformed plastic, but apparently not. I'm with you - that's soooooo out of my budget. XD

I've wanted to try vacuum forming and yeah, suits like that, that's normally where I jump too.

Yeah, see, I was thinking like. Paperclay. :/ Resin casting is awesome for jewels but HOLY SHIT that had to be expensive and time-consuming as hell.

I would just use craft foam and papier mache it, with maybe fiberglass resin on top if I was feeling like an over achiever. It takes a while, but the results are pretty clean looking after some sanding and it's super light.

That being said, I really haven't done that much in paperclay, so that could be a better way to go.
