That's true. God, Naruto got so awful toward the end of the first series/beginning of the filler. Not that it was particularly high on the quality list even from the beginning...
In my opinion, Out is significantly better. It's about a bunch of Japanese women who help another woman who killed her husband. Really interesting stuff about the gender war in Japan, as well as the difference between economic classes.
It is fan-fucking-tastic, and if I hadn't already made a journal and an application for the Other Mother, I would probably app Masako.
Let me put it this way: Japanese housewives create a body-disposal business, but end up being stalked by a serial killer. There is no way that cannot be motherfucking wintastic.
Also, that clip is uh. I don't even. I'm just. Wow. I'm so glad I never watched the dub.
