Okay, so, I'm a design student. I'm attending a big 10 four year school for "clothing design" (why they don't just call it fashion I'll never freaking know. Everyone looks at me like I'm retarded when I say "clothing" seriously). Anyway, that's not in itself horrible. The nightmare comes from me actually already having a two year degree in fashion design. Albeit, it's from a little known technical college in one of them southern states that I'm from... But still. I know how to fucking sew. I know how to pattern. I've already done a collection. Really, it's cool. I can show you pictures. :|

So... Yeah, this school though? They won't let me go in as a third-year, right? They say 'oh, you have to do portfolio review through us before we really let you continue in the program. Technically, you're not even IN the college of design yet. fuck you." So, here I am in freshie classes.

To make this TREMENDOUSLY more annoying. I want to double major in Japanese. I have four years high school credit in it, and I'm kicking butt in my current Japanese class. Heck, I just disappeared for a weekend to do only that. Anyway, the design college is ridiculously unsupportive of the Japanese thing. Like, no joke. Like, I want to do study abroad in my junior year (so two years if I'm stuck here for the four years that they want me to be), and they're like "yeah, sorry, we don't know if Bunka is equivalent.". Which... I think they just fear the moonspeak, actually. It's way more that equivalent. Bunka makes my little state school look really pathetic. Seriously. Talk about a high-horse that they're on.

So, basically, I have to choose between my Japanese thing and my fashion thing. There's really no reason I can't do both, except the college of design is a bitch. I hate them.

Beyond that, I'm stuck in one three hour lab two days a week taught by a lady who doesn't even understand that cutting your patterns WHILE there's still a halo around them might hurt your scissors. Sorry, I didn't get Gingher's for that. Also, Color Theory is for losers. No joke. Fuck you little squares of painted papers in a fucking achromatic scale. NO ONE CARES.

... So yeah, that's my rant. Sup.
