Shamelessly ripped off from
Elle’s fighting meme, it’s the RPG / MMO meme! It's where we imagine what the game would be like and what our characters would be doing if the setting involved lots of experience points and fetch quests. Think C&C as a Bioware game or possibly World of Warcraft. Or even Pokemon with superheroes.
The thinly-veiled excuse plot for this is as follows: IN THE NEAR FUTURE a new Import gets zapped into the City and gets the usual spiel. They find out that the City has experienced some disaster that has left the bad guys on top, the good guys reeling, and plot-important items scattered all over the darn place. The City is now divided into warring factions controlled by supervillains, NPC antagonists, and heroes. Despite being completely new to having superpowers, just arriving in this universe, and not even having a defined appearance or identity yet, this new Import is *special.* Everyone can see that they have a knack for attracting followers, stumbling onto enormously important events, and solving other people’s problems no matter how mundane. They’re going to end up making the hard morality choices, collecting the party members, and gaining the experience that will let them save or doom the City, one sidequest at a time.
This is not about that person though. This is about our characters and where they fit into this mess, and what they're up to with each other. Are they an NPC quest giver? A valued party member? A possible love interest with the right dialogue options? An ally who gets killed off for drama unexpectedly? A recurring quirky miniboss? Someone who needs to be rescued in a quest? The final antagonist who is fought in a ridiculously long battle to awesome music? NPC shopkeeper? Just one of the background characters that can be interacted with around the setting?
ANYWAY THAT'S WHY THERE'S AN RPG here have a form:
NAME AND ALIAS:Role: Enemy, quest giver, party member, and so on.
Moral alignment: Lawful good, chaotic evil, hero, villain, neutral, etc.
Character Class: What best defines their 'role' in adventures and combat? Healer, melee fighter, ranged attacker, stealth expert?
Level: Roughly how potent are they at what they do?
Abilities: What can they do to aid a PC and hinder enemies in this game? What are their special powers?
Mini-bio: Of what’s happening with them in this setting.
Sample of interaction with PC: Dialogue or actions the player gets when they run into them.
That's pretty much all there is to it! Tag around, go nuts, and have fun!
ETA: Dropped characters, original characters, and characters not yet in the game are welcome in this thing!
