Time for another installment of: Alex has questions!! So here goes.
Is there anything you and fandom in general disagree about re: your character? What are your ~unpopular opinions~?
Do you not understand why fandom decided their middle name was Malloy? Are they 5'6" according to you and 5'8" according to everyone else? Did you interpret a

For Ian.....what fandom /despairs gently for the lack of all things concerning oldWho
I think I probably have a lot of unpopular opinions for Stein. For one thing I don't think he grew up in Germany and that is a really popular headcanon for him if fanfiction is anything to go by! But until I'm proven wrong by the manga I'm gonna keep believing that he's a run of the mill American, because it seems that most students at the DWMA are and he doesn't speak with an accent or make any mention ever of being from somewhere overseas...
There is also a really strong trend in Soul Eater fandom to ship Stein and Spirit together and to write them in such a way that Stein "tops" and controls Spirit? And that is so backwards to his characterization I just can't...basically, to sum up my thoughts without going into any hideous tl;dr Stein does not have a real grasp on the concept of "love" or any other emotion other than maybe desire. He admits to this in canon. So while yes, I can see him getting together romantically (or maybe a better term would be sexually, considering) with any number of other characters, he wouldn't by any means be the one to control the relationship. The entire basis for his character is that he has a very strong need to be controlled and he admits that in canon too it's not that hard people...sobs gently......Also my favorite ship for him is Stein/Marie which is extremely unpopular haha...
Hiei...well, I don't ship him with Kurama and he ain't "uke". THERE ARE MY UNPOPULAR YU YU HAKUSHO OPINIONS I SHIP HIEI/MUKURO AND YOU CAN FIGHT ME.
