Hello C&C it's been a while since the last episode of My Insatiable Curiousity but here comes another questiontime.
What does your character look like? We've generally got icons to tell us, but sometimes they're imperfect, sometimes there's more to a character's physical presence that can be captured on a 100x100 still square. Are they attractive

APPEARANCE:
His given height is 5'10", weight 165 pounds, most of it super-dense muscle. This is fairly consistent with how he's classically drawn -- the wiry side of average, quite muscled, but with a swimmer's or runner's build. So long as he's wearing clothing that hides how physically fit he is, he's physically unremarkable among civilians, but noticeably shorter and less bulky than most other male superheroes (enough so that he probably has a slight complex about it, though he'd quip it off if asked).
He's quite attractive in a clean-cut, All-American White Boy Next Door sort of way -- arguably as much "pretty" as he is "handsome." (Seriously, look at that icon -- and Frenz's Peter has nothing on Jae Lee or Frank Cho's takes.) Peter does not, however, think of himself as especially good-looking -- better side of average, maybe, but nothing to write home about. (As for why he's had such a succession of gorgeous women throwing himself at him ... well, women have strange tastes sometimes.)
His eyes are hazel, though they're usually colored as plain brown, and his hair is medium-brown, cut medium-short and lightly smoothed back except for the cowlicks that flop over his forehead no matter what he does to them. Aside from some mulletish tendencies in the 90s he hasn't changed his hairstyle since he was a little kid, if flashback art is to be believed! His face is often but not always drawn as fairly long/narrow, so that holds for my mental image of him. He has highly mobile, somewhat bushy eyebrows and a nice smile. Unsurprisingly, he doesn't tan much, even in the hottest part of summer.
Since we had this oh-so-entertaining discussion last night I'll note that he has minimal body hair from wearing spandex constantly since almost the onset of puberty. >:3
POSTURE/BODY LANGUAGE:
Peter works pretty hard to keep his body language distinct in his two identities, although it's not a perfect disjunct.
As Spider-Man, or in private, he moves like a spider: the fluidity of instinctive control juxtaposed with the skittery stop-and-start motion no human should be able to replicate. Spidey’s movements are so uncannily spider-like that he often gives people the willies, which certainly doesn't help his reputation any. (More specifically, think gladiator spider for overall motion with a touch of the fidgety bombast of a jumping spider.) He's pretty much constantly in motion, and makes a lot of broad gestures when he talks -- or plays with his webbing, fidgets, etc. He perches on walls, the ceiling, Ben Grimm, etc more often than he sits down like a non-spider-powered person, and his default posture is "crouched." He can take a Heroic Pose in Reponse to Overwhelming Odds with the best of his peers, though!
Meanwhile, as Peter he slouches a bit and tries not to be too obviously physically adept (to the point of faking clumsiness), although very observant parties may note that he moves very gracefully when he's not paying attention.
TO BE CONTINUED.

What dress sense?
Peter dresses like an average American guy in his mid-late 20s who doesn't pay much attention to fashion but isn't a complete slob either: t-shirt or button down, sometimes layered over a long-sleeved shirt or undershirt; straight-leg jeans with no wear he hasn't put on them himself; sneakers (converse or tennis shoes). His coats tend towards the military, other than his prized Mets jacket, and he's fond of hoodies and quilted down vests. Colors of preference are blue, red, and neutrals. His clothes are slightly too big, to fit over his costume and hide his superheroesque physique. He's not very comfortable in business or formal wear and has a horrible tendency to pick things like a turquoise blue blazer or a mud-brown suit unless carefully managed.
Here is a polyvore of his CnC wardrobe! I should note that May and Gwen recently gave him a makeover, but whether that'll stick is a whole 'nother story.
I don't think Spidey's costumes need a whole lot of extra description at this point ... :|a
