For a kid who spent his entire adolescence running around in tiny green panties I can't really believe that he'd turn his nose up at tighty-whities while in civvies, but for some reason artists like drawing him in boxer-briefs instead so those are what he tends to favor post-90s. My current headcanon states that at some unspecified point in history Alfred or possibly one of his girlfriends violently culled them out of his wardrobe, thus forcing a style change when he wandered into Sears the next day and found that grownup tighty-whities only came in old man sizes. :c
Oh yeah also in costume his super high tech man-junk protectors are built right into the suit, so shockingly he wears none at all a good chunk of the time.

Rather, the only time he really enjoyed food was when he splurged before turning himself into prison. He bought a lot of fancy meat and fish dishes - he basically eats all meat except for pork, because he worked with pigs in a slaughterhouse, and man, does he have limits. Mostly, though, he feeds himself just enough to subsist, because he is too stressed or busy writing to enjoy it. :{
